According to a Facebook user, Gabriella Okwara, a young promising lady, Faith Chuku was shot dead by gunmen in Rivers state on her way to Abuja to collect her UK visa. Gabriella narrated how the young promising lady was killed by unknown gunmen in port Harcourt, Rivers state. She wrote; ‘One of my juniors in secondary school, a young promising girl who was traveling to Abuja alongside her mum to get their visas and head back to the U.K. was shot dead by the trolls on Elele road and some insensitive clowns here are telling me to not raise alarm on the high rate of insecurity on East west road in other not to paint Rivers State bad, are you kidding me? Tricycle Operators(Keke Marwa) in Imo state will cease to operate in designated areas in Owerri, the State Capital as from  Tuesday, September 5, 2017 . Only taxis will now be operating in the Capital City. For that reason, the governor shared about 2000 Passat Wagon Vehicles to Keke Operators as a replacement, on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, to enable them to comply with the directive. Balloting was conducted at the Hero’s Square for the beneficiaries to emerge. The second batch beneficiaries will get theirs in October while the third batch will have their own in December 2017. Keke Operators will no longer be expected to operate along the major roads of Douglas, Wetheral, Bank Road, Orlu Road and other designated roads”. A 36 year old man identified as John Emeka Obodoechina, has been burnt to death in Lagos, by his fiancée, Blessing Ohare Ukhurebor, because he decided to quit the relationship. DAILY SUN reported that John had dated Blessing for over a year, and she had moved in with him. John introduced Blessing, from Edo State, to his siblings. He was advised to study the lady for some time and decide if the family should formally go to Blessing’s family for dowry payment. . John was said to have intimated the girl of his intentions to meet with her family, but the meeting was suspended at the instance of the lady’s family. A relative of John revealed that he, John, started noticing some unacceptable behaviour from Blessing. . A Nigerian man identified as Junior Clement was beaten up and disgraced after he was caught red-handed eating faeces while doing the new ‘Yahoo plus’. Clement who claimed to come from Warri in Delta state, revealed during his interrogation that he was instructed by a native doctor to eat faeces after which anything he tells his client will happen without delay. He also revealed that the first one he did, didn’t work as he’s planning to bill another foreign client $55,000 (over N20 million). In a statement released today, Wednesday, August 30, 2017, the Olori said ” the Ooni and I are no more. Billionaire kidnapper Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, a.k.a Evans, on Wednesday , pleaded guilty to a two count charge of kidnapping brought against him by the Lagos State Government. Evans promptly responded that ‘I am guilty’ when the charges were read to him. Evans was represented by his counsel, Olukoya Ogungbeje. Yet Another Nigerian student has made another whopping record and making her parents proud after scoring 9 A1s in the 2017 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). 15-year-old Ikeoluwa Abioye scored A1 in all the 9 subjects she wrote. The subjects include Maths, English, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Civic, Catering, Biology and ICT. Abioye didn’t stop there! She also scored an amazing 305 in the last Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Abioye, an indigene of Irepodun Local Council of Osun State, was recently celebrated and honoured by her alma mater, Starfield Schools, Iju, Lagos. She said, if sponsored, she would love to go to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) or Harvard University to study Computer Engineering. North Korea has fired a missile over northern Japan in a move Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe called an “unprecedented” threat to his country. The missile, launched early on Tuesday Korean time, flew over Hokkaido island before crashing into the sea. The missile was fired just before 6 a.m. in Japan. The launch of the missile set off series of warnings in the northern part of the country urging people to seek shelter via messages on their mobile phones and there was panic among residents. According to reports, the missile flew over Erimomisaki, on the northern island of Hokkaido, and broke into three pieces before falling into the Pacific Ocean, about 1,180 kilometres (733 miles) off the Japanese coast. The missile was in flight for about 14 minutes, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said at an emergency press conference. “There is no immediate report of the fallen objects and no damage to the ships and aircraft,” he added. Two notorious ritualists were arrested in possession of the head of one Hassan Abubakar of Bakajeba Paiko L.G.A, on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at about 9 pm, following a sustained monitoring by IGP Special Tactical Squad attached to Niger State Police Command. The suspects Abdulrasheed Aminu, 22, of Lupa and Ismaila Mohammed, 27, of makera, both confessed that they cut off the head with the use of two sharpened knives and one other suspect, Ibrahim, is still at large. The father of the victim one, Abubakar Shuaib, said that his son was last seen on Saturday, taking a kettle of water from the house to give an unknown person waiting outside and since then he was nowhere to be found, until he heard that Police arrested suspects with human head and he identified the victim as his son. The case is under investigation.
