Just In: South South Governors React Over CJN's Suspension



South-South Governors Forum, on Saturday censured the choice of President Muhammadu Buhari to suspend the Chief Justice of the Federation (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen.

The Chairman of the gathering and Governor of Bayelsa State, Seriake Dickson, depicted the evacuation of Onnoghen as a pitiful day and a miserable editorial on majority rules system in Nigeria.

The representative, in an announcement marked his Special Adviser on Media Relations, Mr. Fidelis Soriwei, said that the activity was unfriendly to the ideal strength of the country and basic organizations of state.

He said that Nigerians have a duty to be worried about the constituent procedure and the basic establishments depended with the obligation of shielding majority rules system in the general public.

Dickson expressed that Nigeria would travel toward a sh*thole nation if basic establishments of state neglected to hit the nail on the head.

He regretted that the expulsion of Onnoghen from his lifted up position appeared in clear terms that the country's vote based system was under genuine pressure and test.

He stated: "Discussing the heartbreaking improvement, having perused the insights concerning it, and if the report that we are finding out about it are anything to pass by, at that point it is an exceptionally miserable editorial on our country's vote based system

The gathering's executive focused on that while the courts would make profession on the lawfulness or generally on the improvement around the CJN, the South-South governors found the activity condemnable

He underscored the requirement for fair treatment and adherence to protected arrangements, focusing on that nations are represented by laws and shared regard among the political class.
