Nigerian Senate Postpone Meeting Till After Presidential Election




The Senate has suspended its whole untill after one month from now's presidential races.

As per a choice collectively settled upon by the officials, the Senate will continue on February 19.

"Dear recognized associates, in perspective of the way that it is after 2p.m., we can't continue any further so we need to dismiss appropriately. The senate therefore dismisses to Tuesday, the nineteenth day of February, 2019 at 10a.m. incite," the managing officer, Ike Ekweremadu said while reporting.

The presidential and National Assembly decisions are slated for February 16.

Before suspending Thursday, the Senate gave an expedient thought of the National Minimum Wage.

The officials went the bill through the first and second readings in the wake of suspending the Senate's principles.

The bill was perused for the second time and alluded to a specially appointed board of trustees for further administrative activity.

The advisory group contains Olusola Adeyeye as executive, Abu Ibrahim (to speak to the board of trustees on work), Shehu Sani (to speak to the North West), Sam Egwu (South East), Suleiman Adokwe (North Central), Francis Alimekhena (South), Solomon Adeola (South West) and Binta Masi Garba (North East).
