Presidential Elections: I will Take Back My Mandate- Atiku

The PDP presidential candidate said he would claim his mandate in court - Atiku said his line of action will be made public soon Atiku Abubakar has described the 2019 presidential election as the worst in the country’s history vowing that he will reclaim his stolen mandate in court. Daily Trust reports that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) spoke at a world press conference on Wednesday, February 27 following his defeat the election.

 The Cable reports that the former vice president claimed there was voter suppression in Akwa Ibo and that the state recorded a 62 per cent decrease compare to 2015. He said: “Borno state recorded 82 percent increase in votes cast despite the insecurity in the state.” “The electoral fruad cannot produce a government of the people for the simple reason that it does not reflect the will of the people.” “It is for this reason what I reject the result of the election as announced by INEC.” Atiku said he was consulting with his party on the next step to take and that this will be made public soon.
